Travel Insurance Terms & Conditions

Last updated 21 July 2026 · Hadey Travels Global

These terms govern the purchase of travel insurance through Hadey Travels Global. Please read them alongside the policy wording issued with your certificate. By purchasing cover you confirm that you accept these terms.

1. Who we are and what we do

Hadey Travels Global is a trading name of Hadey Global Services Limited. In relation to travel insurance we act as an intermediary: we arrange cover on your behalf with a licensed insurance provider.

We are not the insurer. We do not underwrite risk, we do not decide claims, and we do not hold the funds that pay claims. The insurance contract is between you and the Insurer, and the Insurer alone is responsible for meeting valid claims under it.

Our role is to help you select appropriate cover, collect the information the Insurer requires, arrange the policy, and support you in dealing with the Insurer if something goes wrong.

2. Eligibility

Cover is available to travellers aged 80 years and under on the date of departure. Travellers aged 70 and above are accepted at a higher premium, which is calculated automatically when you request a quote.

You must hold a passport that remains valid for the full duration of your trip. Most destinations additionally require at least six months' validity beyond your return date, and our quote process checks for this.

Single-trip cover is available for journeys of up to 92 days. Longer stays require a multi-trip policy — please contact us.

Cover is arranged for residents of Nigeria and is issued in Nigerian Naira.

3. The information you give us

The cover you receive depends entirely on the information provided when you buy. You must answer every question honestly, completely and to the best of your knowledge, and the details you give must match your passport exactly.

If the information you provide is incorrect, incomplete or misleading, the Insurer may reduce a claim, decline a claim, or cancel the policy from inception. This includes an incorrect name spelling, date of birth, passport number, travel dates or destination.

If you notice a mistake after purchase, contact us immediately at insurance@hadeytravelsglobal.com. Corrections made before travel can usually be arranged; corrections after a loss has occurred generally cannot.

4. Price and payment

Prices are quoted in Nigerian Naira and shown in full before you pay. The price displayed at checkout is the total amount payable, inclusive of our arrangement fee.

Your premium is calculated from your destination, the length of your trip, the number of travellers and the age of the traveller. Prices may change at any time, but the price quoted to you is held for the duration of your checkout session.

Payment is processed by our payment provider. We do not receive, store or have access to your full card details at any point.

5. When cover starts and ends

Cover begins on the departure date shown on your certificate, and ends on the return date shown, unless the policy wording provides otherwise.

Your certificate is issued once payment has cleared. If we are unable to issue immediately, your payment is still secure and we will confirm your certificate by email, normally within two hours. If we cannot issue your policy at all, we will refund you in full — see our Refund Policy.

A certificate is proof that cover has been arranged. The policy wording supplied with it sets out precisely what is and is not covered, and takes precedence over any summary shown on our website.

6. What is not covered

The full list of exclusions is set out in your policy wording. Exclusions commonly include pre-existing medical conditions that have not been declared and accepted, travel undertaken against medical advice, incidents arising from alcohol or drug use, participation in hazardous activities or professional sport, travel to territories subject to an official advisory against travel, and losses that are not reported and documented as the policy requires.

Please read your policy wording before you travel. It is the document that determines what you can claim for.

7. Our responsibility to you

We will arrange your cover with reasonable skill and care, present the terms accurately, and pass your information to the Insurer promptly and correctly.

We are not responsible for the Insurer's decisions on claims, for the Insurer's solvency, or for losses arising from information you gave us that was inaccurate or incomplete.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Complaints

If you are unhappy with the service we have provided, contact us at insurance@hadeytravelsglobal.com. We aim to acknowledge every complaint within two working days and to resolve it within ten.

If your complaint concerns a claim decision rather than our service, we will escalate it to the Insurer on your behalf and keep you informed. Complaints about insurers in Nigeria may ultimately be referred to the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM).

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force at the moment you purchase is the version that applies to your policy, and subsequent changes do not affect cover already arranged.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the Nigerian courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
